15 Hours and Counting Until Departure . . .
So, here I am typing on my blog when I should be finishing my packing! I just finished showing my parents how to use Skype, so we can keep in touch while I am across the Atlantic. They think they are so cool now! LOL! Again the nervousness is starting to set in because I am trying to figure out if I left anything off my packing list or my "To Do" list. I am excited for new adventures and can't wait to see Egypt in all it's glory! Well, off to finish packing and tying up loose ends!

Pre-Trip Jitters
Hi, Everyone! Happy July 4th! Welcome to my summer blog for 2010! I will be traveling to Egypt this summer on a Fulbright Scholarship, and am excited to share my travels with you! I am almost finished packing and ready to go, but I am such a procrastinator, I tend to forget at least one thing! I am just a jumble of nerves - excited, nervous, exhausted, and a little hesitant. This is the first time I am traveling to Africa and the Middle East, so I am a little hesitant because I am not quite sure how I am going to adapt to a predominantly Muslim culture. I know weird right?! Of all the things to worry about, this is what I am worried about. Yep, it is!! I just don't want to be disrespectful or the "Ugly American." I'm so excited to live in Egypt for a month and take in all the culture and sites! You might see me riding a camel to the pyramids of Giza or floating down the Nile. Stay tuned to find out!
